COVID-19 VS Eid el-Fitr: I Hope Nigeria Has Enough Body Bags – Reno Omokri

Several Africans have accused Bill Gates of being the anti Christ, who originated #COVID19, and wants to destroy the world with #CoronaVirus, and reduce Africa’s population with a yet to be invented vaccine. Some have even accused me of collecting money from Bill Gates to rise to his defence over these ridiculous accusations.

However, consider the following: In Kano, and all over Northern Nigeria, there has been a major spike in the death rate, thought to be caused by COVID19. Yet, despite this fact, the government of Kano and other Northern states are abandoning the social distancing precautions to allow for mass celebrations marking the end of Ramadan in mosques.

Islam originated 1400 years ago, in what is now modern day Saudi Arabia, yet Saudi Arabia, the birth place of the religion, has announced that it will impose a full, 24-hour lockdown during the five-day Eid el-Fitr festival marking the end of Ramadan. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case.

Now, if after this reckless action, people start dying en masse, we Africans will again start blaming Bill Gates and others.

It is time to find out if Christianity and Islam mutated when they were introduced to Africa, because the brand of religiosity we practice in Africa, and especially in Nigeria, is such that we end up being more Catholic than the Pope and more Muslim than Arabians.

Actions have consequences. You reap what you sow, more than you sowed and later then you sowed. There is no escape from this divine and eternal principle. Fasting and prayer can’t make you avoid it. Therefore, Africans, and especially Nigerians, should think. Before you sow the wind, ask yourself if you can reap the whirlwind.

Before Kano, and other Northern states throw caution to the wind and reopen mosques for Eid el-Fitr celebrations, let them know that their morgues are already full, their hospitals are already overstretched, and their doctors are overwhelmed beyond measure.

By this act, there are likely to be more deaths in Nigeria, and nobody in his right mind will rush to assist us, especially after we have flooded the Internet, using computer systems created by Microsoft, to insult and attack a man like Bill Gates, who has spent $1 billion of his own money trying to save people who do not value their own lives, and who are not mature enough to understand the relationship between cause and effect!

In Africa, ignorance is the main pandemic!
